Lucky Jackson knew she wanted to be an artist since ( to her mother’s chagrin) she drew her first portrait on the family room wall. She is best known for trading in those crayons for a needle and thread, and in 2012 she hand embroidered a portrait every day for a year. Always looking for something new to draw on she traded in her needle and thread for a scroll saw and is currently working on a series of portraits cut out on wood.

Lucky’s work has been exhibited in Toronto, San Francisco, Chicago, Montreal and the UK. Her work has been featured on the Katie Couric show, Flow Magazine, Frankie Magazine, Cross Stitcher Magazine, A Beautiful Mess Blog and Apartment Therapy. Lucky’s most notable achievement is discovering her preteen crush Rob Lowe is the proud owner of one of her portraits.

Lucky currently resides in Peterborough, Ontario where when she lives with her husband and two beautiful daughters.
